Tasked with curating four monumental outdoor photo installations, THE FENCE relies on the unparalleled vision and expertise of its jury – comprised of more than 40 highly-regarded photography professionals from around the world.
As always, each submission is automatically considered for all four FENCE exhibitions– with no additional steps, fees, or hoops to jump through.

Brooklyn Bridge Park is the birthplace of THE FENCE – and will always have a special significance in our photographic heart of hearts.
Measuring 1000ft in length along the Brooklyn Bridge Park Greenway, The FENCE at BBP is where it all started!
– FLASH FORWARD FESTIVAL
Boston feels like our second home – in 2013, together with our wonderful partners at the Flash Forward Festival we knocked it out of the park with the introduction of a 800ft-long FENCE adjacent to Boston’s popular North Market.
For its 3rd year, our Boston FENCE at the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway will once again include an additional curated sectiondedicated to New England-based photographers!
– ATLANTA CELEBRATES PHOTOGRAPHY
Introduced in 2014 as part of theAtlanta Celebrates Photography Festival, the 750ft-long Atlanta FENCE exhibition rapidly became an audience favorite, attracting record numbers of visitors.
– HOUSTON CENTER OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Dedicated to expanding exhibition opportunities for photographers, we are excited to announce a brand new partnership with theHouston Center of Photography, giving us the opportunity to introduce THE FENCE to Houston, TX.
HCP’s mission is to increase society’s understanding and appreciation of photography and its evolving role in contemporary culture. HCP strives to encourage artists, build audiences, stimulate dialogue, and promote inquiry about photography and related media through education, exhibitions, publications, fellowship programs, and community collaboration.
