CONCURSO FOTOLIBRO<40
La Comunidad de Madrid convoca la II edición del concurso Fotolibro<40, un certamen que tiene como objetivo apoyar y promocionar la joven fotografía de autor española a través de la edición, publicación y distribución de un libro de referencia con el proyecto ganador

Bases para participar en la convocatoria:

  1. Podrán participar cualquier fotógrafo o colectivo de nacionalidad española menor de 40 años
  2. El tema de los trabajos presentados es libre y el trabajo debe ser inédito, no habiendo sido publicado nunca en formato libro.
  3. Los participantes deberán enviar un dossier que contenga:
    • Breve explicación del proyecto e imágenes de la sobras y un CV del fotógrafo
    • Una serie de fotografías ilustrativas del proyecto
  4. No se aceptarán propuestas que no cumplan los requisitos solicitados en las bases de la convocatoria

The European Master of Contemporary Photography, which is going into its ninth Edition in April 2019. They offer a practical and innovative training in a unique master program, where you can develop your personal project, coached by our team of tutors and teachers of international fame: Martin Parr, Joan FontcubertaSimon Roberts or Andreas Müller-Pohle, to name just a few.

PRIZE: Two scholarships covering 50% of the tuition fees, equivalent to 5.375 euros.

The winners will be announced on Monday the 3rd of December 2018 at 18:00, Madrid time (GMT +1). The names of the winners will be published on iedphotography.com/ and master.iedmadrid.com/en/

Deadline for the receipt of works on Monday 26th of November 2018 at 18:00, Madrid time (GMT+1).

Residencies for artistic investigation in domestic spaces
Open Call until February 11, 2018

Are you an artist, curator or currently working in the cultural field? Do you live in Madrid? Do you have an unused guest room? If so, you may become part of Sweet Home by hosting an international cultural agent during two weeks. Interesting? keep on reading!

hablarenarte: is looking for artists, cultural producers, curators etc. who are living and working in Madrid and have interest in hosting an international cultural agent in their home.

Each local host assists the international guest with the “integration” into the personal, cultural and artistic context of Madrid.

A jury will select the six “hosts” keeping in mind their professional profile and availability. They also consider location of the flat and the living-conditions of the guest room. Each local cultural agent will receive 1.000€ for hosting during the two-week-stay. + info about the Open Call.

Once the six local hosts are chosen, hablarenarte: will launch an international open call in order to select the six international residents. To ensure reciprocal benefit, the six local agents will be part of the jury deciding on the six international agents.

European Master of Contemporary Photography Grants, Madrid. Deadline: Dec. 4, 2017.

The 8th edition of this program, which has changed its title from European Master of Fine Art Photography to European Master of Contemporary Photography will start next April. As every year, we are looking for two exceptional students to join the course with a stipend, which covers 50% of the tuition fees (worth 4250 Euros). The stipend is given to exceptional talents, who are willing to lead the group and help the other students grow. We have had some very very talented winners for this grant in the last years, such as Marcio Vilela, Jana Hartmann, Duarte Amaral Netto, Alena Zhanderova, Jorge Fuembuena, Nikita Pigorov, and Yutaka Nozawa. Fiebre Dummy Award. Extended Deadline: March 10, 2017.

Fiebre Photobook, a young Spanish festival of photobooks, has opened their second dummy award.

The awarded project will be the subject of a photobook, published and distributed internationally in an edition of 500 copies.
· Artes Gráficas Palermo will be in charge of the production of the 500 copies print run.
· Dalpine will co-publish the book, distribute it and promote it among specialists, institutions, festivals and international specialized fairs.
· The final edition will be curated by publisher Sonia Berger from Dalpine and by Fosi Vegue, member of the Fiebre team and director of Blank Paper School.
· The pre-press will be carried out by Víctor Garrido of La Troupe.
· MOB will develop the communication strategy.
