Proceso de descarte.
Martin Parr frente a los fotolibros españoles

lunes, 2 de diciembre de 2013
17:00h en Ivorypress bookshop
C/ Comandante Zorita 48
28020 Madrid

Call for Proposals 2014

Innovative works for young people

ANTI is an international contemporary arts festival presenting site-specific works made for public space. ANTI presents live, sonic, visual and text-based art from today’s most exciting and innovative artists. A truly international festival and Finland’s foremost presenter of Live Art, ANTI is a meeting place for artists and audiences fascinated by how art shapes the spaces of everyday life.

We are looking for innovative and exciting live art works for children and young adults. We are especially keen to receive proposals for projects where young people have a participatory or collaborative role in the work. All works will be presented to a mixed, public audience.

Projects may take any form – lasting 30 minutes or many weeks, for an audience of one or many. Please note ANTI is a site-specific festival – we do not show projects in traditional cultural spaces, thus projects have a direct relationship with the spaces and places they are shown in. When proposing a project please make it clear where your project would ideally be located, and why.

Before making your proposal it may be beneficial to visit www.antifestival.com to spend some time with the festival’s annual archive.

The proposal process

All proposals must be sent using the electronic form found on the festival’s website. The form allows a link to be made to online documentation of previous work and for applicants to attach a CV and three images. Proposals that do not strictly conform to these guidelines will not be considered.

The proposal deadline is 30.11.2013

PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST ON THE THEME “CITIES FOR EVERYBODY”. Deadline: Nov. 22, 2013

Dear Mates,

As I am also working in the field of accessibility in the arts, this contest seems worth mentioning, even if the prizes are not very big (but, hey, Spain is on of the PIGS countries, remember?) and the work has to be sent physically, mounted on board, to the organizers. But if you have something about that theme, you might consider participating, anyways.

Best, the Captain

INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST ON THE THEME “CITIES FOR EVERYBODY”

————— Versión en Español abajo ——————

The ACCEDE FOUNDATION convokes its Second Photography Contest “Cities for Everybody”. It must deal with the universal accessibility as a way to guarantee an independent life and the same amount of opportunities for everyone, particularly for handicapped people.

C/Patricio Pérez, 7 (Local 2) TORREVIEJA Alicante (España) – Tel. 965 084 963

http://www.fundacionaccede.org info@fundacionaccede.org

Once the concept of the elimination of barriers is overcome, the accessibility is the quality which allows us to use and enjoy public and private services that society offers us. The lack of accessibility interferes with people´s fundamental rights.

We must be conscious that all of us, at a certain moment of our life, are going to feel the difficulty and the exclusion that living in inaccessible cities implies. Thus conditioning the lives of our family, our friends and even ours.

That is why we wish to know your varied points of view concerning architectural, urban, social, cultural, educational, technical and other daily factors involved.

We look forward to contributing to the success of improving the current reality and to raising awareness regarding the importance of enjoying “cities for everybody”.
