Fotograf Magazine issues an open call for professionals, amateurs and students who are invited to submit their photo projects. We are interested in artworks (fine-art photography, moving image, etc.) representing a distinctly defined project of an independent and non-commercial character.
We appreciate all genres and the most diverse approaches of artistic creation, because one of goals of our “Fotograf – zone of contemporary photography” is to discover talents. We are looking for talents of any age. Talents wanted. Let’s sign in!
Two selected projects will be published in a printed issue of the Fotograf magazine in September 2022. Fotograf magazine is one of the leading global magazines devoted to photography and contemporary art. It is distributed to 25 countries around the world. The winners will be chosen by the jury whose members including professionals and experts on contemporary visual art.
The deadline for the submissions is September 30, 2022.

a professor of photography and related media at the State University of New Paltz in the United States, has published numerous artists’ books and curated shows for FAMU and the Dorsky Museum. He has received two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as Fulbright grants to Mali and the Czech Republic.
Thale Blix Fastvold
is a Norwegian visual artist working primarily with photography, film and performance art, and from 2018 she is the elected Chair of Forbundet Frie Fotografer (The Norwegian association of art photographers). Her work is exhibited widely in Norway and internationally, her artist book “Ghost of M” was launched at the 57th La Biennale di Venezia at the National Pavilion of Bosnia and Herzegovina (2017).
is curator at Kunst Haus Wien since 2014 and additionally of the Viennese photo festival Foto Wien since its foundation in 2019. She specializes in contemporary photography and art that deals with ecological issues. She is an expert for international portfolio reviews, writes and publishes texts, leads workshops and is a member of various juries.
curator, artist, photography researcher and founderf of the international festival Odesa Photo Days and a head of the NGO “Art Travel”. She participated on many fellowship programs as Villa Arson (Nice, France), Gaude Polonia program (Warsaw; curator – Adam Mazur), the Museum of Photography (San Diego, USA), Intercult organization (Stockholm, Sweden) and the Curator’s Platform project at PinchukArtCenter (Kyiv, Ukraine).
Olja Triaška Stefanović
is a photographer and visual artist born in former Yugoslavia and settled in Bratislava, Slovakia. She is Fulbright Scholar alumni for 2022/2023She works as an Associate professor at Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava where she is currently Head of the Department of Photography and New Media. She lives and works in Bratislava.
Since 2014 he works as curator of the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center and he is the secretary of the Capa Grand Prize Hungary. Since 2016 he is cultural advisor of the Archabbey of Pannonhalma, since 2018 volunteer editor of the Fortepan digital photo archive, and since 2021 member of the board of trustees of the József Pécsi Photography Scholarship for young artists.
