2018 Open Juried Exhibition
Join the Vermont Center for Photography as they celebrate their 20th Anniversary with a vibrant juried group exhibition – featuring the work of photographers from around the globe for the month of March 2018. Shane Lavalette will serve as the 2018 juror.
30 pieces will be selected for exhibition and there is no particular theme or subject matter. They welcome photographic work of all types, shapes, and sizes – including digital, film, alternative processes, photographic sculpture, video and other mixed media.
Artists are responsible for all framing and presentation equipment needed for their work. Photographers of any age and experience level are welcome to submit. Each artist may submit up to 4 pieces. Submissions will only be accepted via the electronic submission form .
VCP will select one artist in the 2018 Open Juried Exhibition to be awarded a solo exhibit of their work in our 2019 exhibition schedule. Exact dates of the awarded solo exhibition are to be negotiated with VCP by August 1, 2018. The winner will be announced at the opening on Friday, March 2nd – though they do not need to be present.
Submission Deadline: Monday, January 22nd – 5pm (EST)
Jurors Results Posted: Friday, February 2nd
Accepted Work Due at VCP: Sunday, February 25th
Exhibition Dates: March 2 – April 1, 2018
No participation Fee (donations are welcome, though)
Shane Lavalette is an American photographer, independent publisher, and the director of Light Work, a non-profit in Syracuse, New York.
