Head On Photo Festival Australia Call. Deadline: Feb 28, 2016

Head On Photo Festival is calling for entries to the Head On Awards over 4 prizes – Portrait, Landscape, Mobile and Student. Finalists of each prize will be exhibited during Head On Photo Festival 2016, Australia’s leading photography festival.

The prizes are open internationally in all categories (except Students) and entrants can enter up to 5 works into each category. Submitted works do NOT have to have been taken in the past 12 months.

Judges across the 5 categories are:

Alison Zavos, Publisher/Managing Editor, Feature Shoot
Alyx Gorman, Editor, Time Out Sydney
Dimitri Beck, Editor in Chief, Polka Magazine
Louise Whelan, Award winning Sydney-based photorapher and educator
Matt Black, Magnum Photos nominee, Time Magazine’s Instagram photographer of the year in 2014
Michael Grecco, Award winning Los Angeles based Photographer
Michael Reid, Director, Michael Reid Gallery
Moshe Rosenzveig, Head On Photo Festival Director
Myles Little, Award-winning photo editor, TIME Magazine
Sally Brownbill, leading consultant for the creative industries
Ron Haviv, Award winning photographer and founder, VII Photo Agency
3 winners per category will be awarded prizes. Total prize pool over $50,000

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION Sunday 11pm (EDT, Australia time) 28 February 2016. Students: Sunday 11pm 6 March 2016.

Winners of each category will be announced on 29 April 2016 at the Festival grand opening in Sydney Town Hall
