Incubarte International Art Festival 2015 announces the open call for art proposals for its 7th edition, whose aim is to value and promote contemporary art in the city of Valencia. This call is for artists of any nationality or age. The festival will take place on June 18-21, 2015. Following the festival’s four-day duration, the exhibitions will remain open for the month of July. Starting with the festival’s 7th edition, Incubarte will be now celebrated biennially. The competition is designed as an international platform for the promotion and exhibition of art in galleries and international institutions.
The Festival is divided into three stages:
Selection / The Festival’s curatorial team will select the artworks to be displayed in different venues of the festival.
Exhibition / Exhibition during the Festival
Awards / Jury Prize, Marte Castellon Art Fair Prize, the International Biennial of Casablanca Prize and the Incubarte Special Prize.
1º. Exhibition at the Festival
The Festival organizers, through its curatorial team, will select the artworks to be displayed in different venues of the festival. In addition, an illustrated catalogue of all the selected works will be published.
2º. Jury Prize
INCUBARTE will make a selection of art gallery directors, critics and art professionals in order to create an independent Jury. This jury will visit the exhibitions and choose the prizewinning artists. Each member of the Jury will use their own individual and independent criteria, being able to choose more than one winner. One artist can be awarded by more than one member of the Jury.
The exact nature of the prize – consisting of an exhibition proposal, contract of representation, etc. – will be decided by the artist and the gallery director themselves. The list of galleries and art institutions participating in the Festival will be displayed on the INCUBARTE’s website as their participation is confirmed. The Festival organizers do not award any direct prize at this stage.
3º. Marte Castellon Art Fair Prize.
The prize consists of a selection of artists whose works will be exhibited in Incubarte’s booth at the Fair in September 2015, where they will be offered for sale.
4º. International Biennial of Casablanca Prize.
The prize consists of a selection of artists to exhibit at the 3rd International Biennial of Casablanca in 2016.

5º. Incubarte Special Prize
The curatorial team will select a number of artworks to make up this exhibition in a prestigious art space. The selection process will take place after the festival and the works will be exhibited jointly with the Incubarte 6 (2013 edition) Special Prize. The artists will be contacted personally.
The prizes in this free-themed competition are divided into four general categories: painting, sculpture / installation, photography and video art.

Incubarte 7 Festival Internacional de Arte abre la convocatoria de propuestas artísticas para su edición de 2015, cuya finalidad es valorar y promocionar el arte contemporáneo en la ciudad de Valencia. La convocatoria esta abierta para creadores de cualquier nacionalidad o edad. El Festival se celebrará del 18 al 21 de junio de 2015. Transcurridos los tres días propios de Festival, las exposiciones permanecerán abiertas al público durante un mes más. Desde esta 7ª Edición, Incubarte pasa a ser bianual. El concurso está planteado como una plataforma de promoción y exposición en galerías y espacios internacionales de arte. El Festival se divide en tres fases:
Selección / Jurado de profesionales del mundo del arte
Exposición / Exposición en los espacios concertados por el Festival
Premios / Premio del jurado, Premio Feria de Arte Contemporáneo Castellón Marte, Premio Biennale Internationale de Casablanca y Premio Especial Incubarte
1º. La Exposición en el Festival.
La Organización de Incubarte, por medio de su equipo curatorial, seleccionará las obras finalistas a concurso que serán expuestas en los diferentes espacios que conforman el festival. Como complemento, se publicará un catálogo ilustrado de la selección a concurso.
2º. El Premio del Jurado.
Para dicho efecto, la Organización de Incubarte invita a una serie de galeristas, críticos y profesionales del arte que constituirán un jurado autónomo. Este Jurado visitará las exposiciones con el fin de seleccionar a los artista/s premiados. Cada miembro del Jurado tiene total independencia y libertad de elección, por lo que puede elegir el número de premiados que quiera. Un mismo artista puede ser premiado por más de un miembro del Jurado. El carácter del premio –consistente en una propuesta expositiva, contrato, etc.– será pactado directamente entre el artista y el galerista. La relación de galerías y espacio expositivos participantes se irán incorporando en la web a medida que se vaya confirmando su participación. La Organización de Incubarte no concede ningún premio directo en esta fase.
3º. Premio Feria de Arte Contemporáneo Castellón Marte.
El premio consta de una selección de artistas que expondrán su obra en la Feria en septiembre de 2015, dónde se pondrán a la venta.
4º Premio Biennale Internationale de Casablanca.
El premio consta de una residencia en la Residence d’artistes Ifitry, perteneciente al Centre d’art contemporain d’Essaouira (Marruecos): la selección será a cargo de la Organización de la Bienal para que un artista disfrute de esta estancia

5º. Premio Especial Incubarte.
Para este premio, el equipo curatorial del Festival seleccionará una serie de obras para esta exposición especial en un prestigioso espacio. La selección a cargo de la Organización se realizará una vez transcurrido en el mes de octubre de 2015 junto con la selección de Incubarte 6 (edición 2013) y será comunicada personalmente a los artistas. Los premios, de temática libre, están divididos en cuatro disciplinas generales: pintura, escultura/instalación, fotografía y vídeo-creación.
