The SFR / LE BAL award 2013 for young photography is open to any photographer up to the age of 30, living in Europe. Its purpose is to assist the winner in completing a documentary photography project.
LE BAL is an exhibition space showing the documentary image in its different forms (photography, video, film). It opened in September 2010 in the north of Paris. Its activity revolves around exhibitions, debates and educational programmes, all focused on documentary creation and the implications of an overwhelmingly visual representation of the world, from aesthetic to political.
What to win
The SFR – LE BAL Award for young European photography has an endowment of €10,000.
The project which the winner completes thanks to the award will be shown at LE BAL in the year following its creation (2014).
