Captain’s Cabin

The Curator Ship is a platform for artists and a collection of useful articles and materials on contemporary photography and visual arts. It was founded in 2010 by Moritz Neumüller (b. Linz, Austria, 1972), a curator, educator and writer in the field of Photography and New Media, who has previously worked in research and management positions for international institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, La Fábrica in Madrid and PhotoIreland, in Dublin. Recent curatorial projects include the exhibition Photobook Phenomenon at CCCB Barcelona; The Routledge Companion to Photography and Visual Culture, published by Taylor & Francis, NY, and being the current chief curator of the Photobook Week Aarhus, Denmark, since 2014.

Another hat he is wearing has to do with accessibility to the arts and museums open for all publics. This artistic and participative research practice runs under the title ArteConTacto, since 2009, and also as part of the European project ARCHES.

For nine editions, he was the director of the European Master of Contemporary Photography at the the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid, and is a docent for Contemporary Photography at IDEP Barcelona.
